Scion of Tabitha Foundation is seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Grants & Strategic Partnerships Coordinator to support the organization's fundraising, partnership development, and external engagement efforts.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys identifying opportunities, building professional relationships, and representing an organization with confidence. The Coordinator will research and pursue relevant grant opportunities, develop relationships with prospective corporate and organizational partners, and represent Scion of Tabitha at selected meetings, networking events, and engagements throughout Lagos.
While this position is primarily remote, the successful candidate must reside in Lagos and be comfortable serving as an in-person representative of the organization when needed. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, communicates consistently, follows through on opportunities, and is motivated by the opportunity to help a growing nonprofit expand its impact.
Responsibilities
Research and identify relevant local and international grant opportunities aligned with Scion of Tabitha's programs and mission.
Maintain an organized grants and funding pipeline, including eligibility requirements, deadlines, submission status, follow-up dates, and outcomes.
Support the preparation and submission of grant applications, proposals, letters of inquiry, sponsorship requests, and other funding materials.
Identify prospective corporate partners, foundations, NGOs, institutions, and other organizations that align with Scion of Tabitha's mission and programs.
Conduct professional outreach to prospective partners and consistently follow up on potential opportunities.
Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders on behalf of the organization.
Identify relevant corporate, nonprofit, CSR, networking, and community events taking place in Lagos that may present partnership or organizational development opportunities.
Attend approved meetings, events, and networking engagements in Lagos as a representative of Scion of Tabitha.
Clearly and professionally communicate the organization's mission, programs, impact, and partnership opportunities to external stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records of grant applications, partnership outreach, contacts, meetings, follow-ups, and outcomes.
Provide consistent weekly updates to organizational leadership detailing completed activities, pending opportunities, upcoming deadlines, outreach efforts, and next steps.
Collaborate with organizational leadership and program teams to understand funding and partnership needs across Scion of Tabitha's initiatives.
Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
Ability to communicate professionally with corporate representatives, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and other external stakeholders.
Strong research skills and ability to identify relevant funding and partnership opportunities.
Comfortable networking, introducing yourself to new people, and representing an organization professionally.
Ability to work independently in a primarily remote environment while maintaining consistent communication with the team.
Demonstrated initiative, reliability, accountability, and attention to detail.
Must currently reside in Lagos State and be able to attend in-person engagements when required.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, grant research or writing, corporate partnerships, business development, communications, or a related area.
Familiarity with Nigeria's nonprofit, corporate social responsibility (CSR), philanthropic, or development sectors.
Experience developing professional proposals, sponsorship requests, presentations, or other external-facing materials.
Existing professional networks within Lagos or demonstrated experience developing new professional relationships.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
