JULIET (LETTI) AWOLUMATE

Founder/Executive Chairman

FROM TEXAS TO NIGERIA, LETTI IS AN EDUCATOR, ENTREPRENEUR, PHILANTHROPIST, AND AN ADVOCATE FOR WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Juliet Awolumate is a passionate educator, philanthropist, and advocate for women's empowerment. She holds a degree in Biology and Chemistry and initially pursued a medical degree before realizing her true calling in teaching.

Following her childhood dream, Juliet has taught math to over 420 high school students, using a gentle and encouraging approach that has transformed many students’ perception of the subject. Many have returned to express how her unique teaching style made them love math in a way no other teacher had. Committed to lifelong learning and leadership in education, she is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership.

Juliet’s heart for giving has been a defining part of her journey. While in college, she founded Help Each other Rise Foundation in 2020, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting communities in need. In October 2023, she rebranded the organization as Scion of Tabitha, inspired by the legacy of her late mother, Dorcas (Tabitha) Awolumate—a philanthropist devoted to uplifting young women and widows in Nigeria through her own nonprofit, ADAE (Act of Dorcas Awolumate Empowerment).

Under Juliet’s leadership, Scion of Tabitha now operates on four core pillars: Community Development, Health & Wellness, Girls' Education, and Women Empowerment. Through the Catalyst for Change Scholarship Program, she has assisted young girls in accessing quality education. Additionally, she has provided back-to-school supplies for underprivileged girls, ensuring they have the tools needed to succeed.

As the Founder and Executive Director of Scion of Tabitha, Juliet is dedicated to expanding the organization’s reach in the U.S.A and Nigeria. She is committed to helping young women begin their educational journey, providing grants for women to start businesses, and advocating for better health resources—especially in cancer awareness and prevention through Scion’s Hope.

With a steadfast commitment to her mother’s legacy, Juliet envisions a future where every girl has access to education, every widow achieves financial independence, and every woman receives the healthcare she deserves. Through her work, she strives to educate, empower, and elevate generations of women, ensuring that communities thrive through knowledge, health, and opportunity.
