SCIONS RISE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

BECOME A MENTOR

Scions Rise mentors play a vital role in guiding, encouraging, and supporting girls and young women as they grow into confident, purpose-driven leaders.

This is a volunteer mentorship opportunity for women who are passionate about the growth, development, and success of young ladies.

​

As a mentor, you will have the opportunity to share wisdom, provide encouragement, support goal-setting, and help a mentee navigate her academic, personal, and professional journey.

WHO CAN BECOME A MENTOR?

Scions Rise mentors should be women who are dependable, compassionate, encouraging, and committed to making a positive impact.

Mentor Eligibility

  • Women ages 27– 40

  • Passionate about the growth and development of young ladies

  • Able to commit to the full mentorship cohort

  • Willing to complete 2 days worth of online mentor training

  • Comfortable communicating consistently with a mentee

  • Able to serve as a positive role model

  • Committed to maintaining respectful and appropriate mentor-mentee boundaries

MENTOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Mentors are expected to provide consistent support, encouragement, and guidance throughout the cohort.

Mentors will be expected to:

  • Connect with their mentee at least once per week

  • Maintain appropriate communication and check-ins throughout the program

  • Support mentee goal-setting and personal development

  • Encourage academic, leadership, and confidence-building growth

  • Participate in required program expectations/exercises

  • Communicate any concerns or updates with the Scions Rise team when needed

  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and healthy boundaries

MENTOR TRAINING

All selected mentors will complete a required two-day training before the start of the cohort. This training is designed to prepare mentors to serve effectively and responsibly.

Training will cover:

  • Program expectations

  • Mentor responsibilities

  • Communication best practices

  • Building trust with mentees

  • Goal-setting and accountability

  • Healthy boundaries

  • Youth mentorship ethics

  • Reporting concerns and maintaining safety

Our mentorship program operates through scheduled cohorts throughout the year.

COHORT 1

COST

The mentor role is a NON-PAID VOLUNTEER POSITION.

Scions Rise is designed for women who are passionate about giving back, investing in the next generation, and helping young ladies grow with confidence and purpose.

MENTOR RECOGNITION

Mentors who successfully complete the cohort will receive a Certificate of Recognition from Scion of Tabitha, recognizing their service, commitment, and impact as a Scions Rise mentor.

WHY BECOME A MENTOR?

By becoming a mentor, you are helping a young lady see what is possible for her life. Your time, encouragement, and guidance can help her build confidence, make wise decisions, pursue her goals, and believe that her future is worth investing in.

Mentorship is not about having all the answers. It is about showing up, listening, guiding, encouraging, and helping someone rise.
